Program Description:

King’s alumni are in almost every newsroom in Canada. We offer a nationally recognized, practical education in journalism and nonfiction book writing through four distinct programs:

  • Our four-year Bachelor of Journalism Honours offers research and storytelling skills within a broad undergraduate education
  • The postgraduate Bachelor of Journalism delivers intensive preparation for work in multiplatform newsrooms
  • The Master of Journalism specializes in data and investigative techniques. Students learn how to acquire and interpret data, and write longform evidence-based features as a one- or two-year program of study
  • The Master of Fine Arts in Creative Nonfictionis for aspiring nonfiction authors looking for a limited residency environment. Faculty and mentors help students develop their writing, and prepare a book proposal and manuscript
